We take great pride in our clinical team. They are talented, passionate and dedicated to helping you regain an active, athletic lifestyle. Each one of our expert physical therapists are licensed in the state of Texas by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Ryan Holloway, PT, DPT, Director of Clinical Services

Originally from Belton, Texas, Ryan attended Texas State University in San Marcos, where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, along with Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their dogs, Nico and Isabell, catching up on the latest movies, and trying to find the best pizza and cup of coffee in town. He has a passion for working with athletes, and is starting a sports manual fellowship through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration.

Monica Battafarano, PT, DPT

Monica is originally from “Countdown City” San Antonio, TX. She attended the University of Texas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a concentration in Social Aspects of Health. She went on to receive a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State University, and is currently enrolled in the IAR (Institute for Athlete Regeneration) Orthopedic Fellowship. Monica spends her time outside of Sports Center constantly trying to outsmart her dog and keep a good work-life balance of exercise, adventure, and laughter.

Meet Our Front Office

Our friendly front office staff can help you with any scheduling or insurance questions during your time here at Sports Center. They help our office run smoothly and efficiently.

Bianca Alfaro, Chief Financial Officer

Originally from Carrizo Springs, Texas, Bianca received her Medical Biller and Coding certificate at the College of Health Care Professions in Austin. Bianca loves to draw, read and play video games. On weekends, you may find her puppy-walking at downtown Austin with her fiancé. She enjoys the culture, food, people and malls in Austin.

If you have any questions about your insurance or payments, Bianca would be more than welcome to help you!

Margaret Janssen, Chief Operating Officer

After receiving her MBA from Texas A&M university, Margaret went on to study “Skills for the New World of Healthcare” at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Margaret is also credentialed as a Certified Medical Practice Executive. Margaret loves exploring all of the fun and healthy activities that Austin has to offer, like walking her dog along Shoal Creek or taking salsa lessons. Outside of Sports Center, you can find Margaret practicing her Spanish, returning to her little family ranch, and spending time with her daughter.

Denise Yuen, Communications and Media Intern

Born in Taiwan, Denise is pursuing her communications degree in The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is currently studying abroad at UT Austin for a year. She loves the nature, food and people in Austin. Contact her if you want to be featured on Sports Center social media pages!

Meet Our Physical Therapy Techs

Our physical therapy technicians are trained in-house to support our physical therapists. They are always ready to help demonstrate exercise techniques and equipment, and lend a hand. We love our PT Techs, they are an important part of our team here at Sports Center.

Mitchell Eben, PT tech

Mitchell is a graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Applied Movement Science, and plans to apply for PT school in the fall. He likes to watch sports, do outdoor stuff and spend time with friends and family. Fun fact: Mitch used to work as a tour guide at Blue Bell creameries in Brenham, TX!


Chelsea Hernandez, PT tech

Chelsea is a graduate from Texas A&M with a degree in Kinesiology. She recently moved to Austin and enjoys the awesome nightlife here. When she is not at Sports Center, she is most likely looking for a new show to binge watch on Netflix!


David Ton, PT tech

Recently graduated from UT Austin, David is planning to pursue Doctor of Physical Therapy in the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. In his free time, he likes to workout and watch movies. His favorite things about Austin are tacos and the people! Fun Fact: David loves ducks and has a collection of rubber ducks and stuffed duck toys.
